Environmental Considerations

Environmental responsibility

The global climate challenge requires action across industries. Reducing environmental impact is a shared responsibility, and continuous efforts are made to limit the footprint created through business activities, materials and production.

A structured approach is taken to improve environmental performance and to support more responsible ways of operating throughout the supply chain.

Responsible material choices

Natural fibres are used extensively in rug production, including wool, linen, silk and cotton. These materials are selected with attention to how they are grown, processed and sourced.

Initiatives include increasing the use of certified organic cotton and sourcing certified wool that supports responsible animal welfare practices. The aim is to ensure that natural materials meet both environmental and social standards.

Renewable energy initiatives

Reducing emissions is also addressed through investments in renewable energy. Solar panels have been installed at selected facilities, including educational initiatives and production sites.

The use of solar energy helps lower greenhouse gas emissions while providing a long-term and renewable energy source that supports both environmental and operational efficiency.

Reduced plastic and recycled packaging

Plastic waste presents significant environmental challenges, particularly in the case of single-use materials. Efforts are therefore focused on reducing unnecessary plastic and limiting its use wherever possible.

Packaging solutions increasingly rely on recycled materials, supporting a reduction in plastic waste and contributing to a more circular use of resources.
